About us

We are a small and friendly camera club near Orpington in Kent which was formed in July 1985 with Barrie Newman as Chair and Tony Collins as Vice Chair and who were responsible for setting up this local Camera Club. Both are still active as Honorary Members and Officers of the Club and still produce work for our various competitions.

In 1996 the Club welcomed a number of members from Ravensbourne Camera Club and from the Petts Wood Camera Club in 2005 when the clubs disbanded.

Greenwood competes in the inter-club competitions run by the Federation of South London Photographic Societies. The Club enters the colour print and digital competitions.

The Club also entered the Kent County Photographic Association Diamond Jubilee Digital competition for the first time in 2015, coming a creditable joint 26th out of the 37 clubs who entered.

The Club also has 'friendly battles' with Beckenham P.S. competing for the Chislehurst Cup with each club entering 20 dpi's; and with Gravesend C.C. with a competition of 10 prints and 10 dpi's.
